Senior Software Leader at Campbell Scientific
25+ years turning complex real-world systems into elegant software — from environmental monitoring and IoT to cyber security and product strategy.
About
I'm a senior software leader who specializes in taking complex, real-world systems and turning them into products that people actually want to use. My career has spanned systems architecture, software engineering, cyber security, and product management — always at the intersection of hard technical problems and real human needs.
At Campbell Scientific, I lead software teams building solutions for environmental, meteorological, and infrastructure monitoring — technology that helps scientists and engineers understand the world around us. I've had the privilege of collaborating with organizations like the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) on the future of weather and climate technology.
I speak English and Norwegian, and when I'm not writing code or building teams, you'll find me skiing, mountain biking, canyoneering, rock climbing, fishing, or on the occasional llama trek.
Expertise
A career built across the full stack of technology leadership — from hands-on architecture to executive product strategy.
Designing scalable, maintainable systems that solve hard problems. From embedded systems to cloud platforms, I architect solutions that last.
Building security into the DNA of products and organizations. Understanding threats, managing risk, and protecting what matters.
Translating customer needs into product roadmaps. Balancing technical debt, innovation, and market timing to ship products that move the needle.
Building software for real-world data acquisition — environmental, meteorological, and infrastructure systems that operate at the edge.
Recruiting and growing high-performing engineering teams. Building cultures of ownership, curiosity, and craft across disciplines.
Championing new ideas from concept to adoption. Speaking the language of both engineers and executives to drive technological change forward.
